Terms of Service

1. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when registering (email address, and for local-password accounts, a password meeting our minimum requirements).
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You may sign in with a local email/password, or with Google or Discord. Account-linking rules (e.g., whether you can add a social sign-in to a local account, or vice versa) are described in-app at the point of use and may differ by how your account was originally created.
• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by your local law, if higher) to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your registered email address current, since we use it for account-related communications, including security notices.

2. Free and premium tiers

Core features — collection tracking, deck build/import/export, full deterministic deck-legality validation, and full rules search/explanation — are available on our free tier and are not paywalled. We may in the future offer an optional paid tier with additional features (e.g., deeper collection-aware recommendations, deck coaching narratives, learning-path tracking). No paid tier exists as of this draft's writing; if and when one launches, separate billing terms will apply and will be presented to you before any charge.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, scrapers, or bots to access the Service outside of the documented, intended user interface, except where we've explicitly published an API or MCP interface for that purpose.
• Attempt to bulk-export data from the Service beyond the deck import/export feature we provide for your own deck data.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, bot-verification checks, or other abuse-prevention measures.
• Attempt to access another user's account, collection, or deck data without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' use of it.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying source code of the Service, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

manaruler's development-facing MCP (Model Context Protocol) server is a separate, LAN-closed, certificate-authenticated component intended only for approved developer/agent tooling use — it is not part of, and these Terms of Service do not otherwise govern access to, that component; if you have been issued credentials for it, separate terms may apply.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of any data you input (e.g., your collection list, decks you build). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that data back to you as necessary to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your collection or deck data, and we do not use it for purposes other than providing you the Service (see our Privacy Policy for the limited exceptions, e.g., abuse investigation).

Card names, card text, and Magic: The Gathering intellectual property referenced within the Service belong to Wizards of the Coast; our use of them is addressed in our Fan Content Policy statement on the Disclosures page.

5. Service availability

manaruler is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, though we'll try to give reasonable notice for material changes.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT DECK-LEGALITY VALIDATION, RULES EXPLANATIONS, OR ANY OTHER OUTPUT OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE — deck legality validation is deterministic and built against a specific format rule set, but format rules and card legality change over time, and this tool is not a substitute for checking official, current tournament rules if that matters to you.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MANARULER AND ITS OPERATOR(S) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED AN AMOUNT WE WILL DEFINE AND DISCLOSE BEFORE THIS POLICY TAKES EFFECT.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold manaruler and its operator(s) harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

9. Termination

• You may stop using the Service at any time, and may delete your account and data via the self-service account-deletion feature in your account settings.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law.
• Upon termination (by you or by us), your right to use the Service ends; data handling on account deletion is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Modifications to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will require you to re-accept the Terms before continuing to use gated features (mirroring the consent-gate mechanism described in our Privacy Policy), and we will update the "Last updated" date above.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Poland, to the extent permitted by applicable consumer-protection law in your country of residence.
